End the War on Terror

James Madison:
Of all the enemies to public liberty, war is, perhaps, the most to be dreaded, because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies; from these proceed debts and taxes. . . . No nation could preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare.
And yet here we are, 11 years into the "War on Terror," still operating under the 2001 authorization of force, still living with the Patriot Act, still undergoing humiliation every time we board a plane.

It is way past time to declare our independence of this phony war.
